The Triceps Pressdown is an isolation resistance exercise designed to strengthen and develop the triceps mucsles. It can be performed in a variety of ways. Our example is shown using the high pulley of a GLM83 Lat Machine.
START attaching the lat pulldown bar to the high pulley cable. Grab the bar with an overhand grip. Stand facing the machine, about a foot away from it, with your feet shoulder width apart. Tuck your elbows close to your sides and pull down on the bar so your forearms are just above parrallel to the floor.
Push down on the bar until your arms are straight. Keep everything else - shoulders, back, upper arms - in their original positions. Pause, then slowly return to the starting position.
