Signage for ProductsWhile nothing can replace a personal presentation to a potential customer, the next line of attack in landing a customer is the signage posted directly on the product and around your store. This is all about visually communicating and interacting as the customer browses your store. Creating a visually approachable atmosphere can add traffic and get you over the hurdle on the sales end and make your floor presentation that much more effective. A good start is a uniform and well designed hangtag that provides information in a single format for easy cross referencing and comparisons between models. At a bare minimum of course the price should be listed along with the name of the product. Other important information such as the product specification highlights and similar information should also be included. Make sure they are kept up to date and every piece has one. Nothing looks worse than missing hangtags on a showroom floor. Beyond the hang tag, there are many other options. Ideally you are there to walk the customer through this but if not, make it simple, neat and easy to follow. This can be the difference between keeping your customer in the store and losing them. Beyond the product, it is important to also create an interesting and visually appealing environment. Lifestyle posters, hanging mobiles and window signs are all great tools to help here. Also make sure that you keep up to date brochures for your products available as they are generally packed with more information and better specifications for you to educate consumers. A good visual approach like this will maximize the product exposure and plant the seed to get the wheel rolling for a powerful sales presentation.
