These bones were made for walking
Osteoporosis is a common concern for aging women. Most experts recommend high-impact aerobic activity and strength training to increase bone mass and density to help lower the risk factors of osteoporosis. While beneficial, high-impact cardio and strength training can be intimidating for some at risk women. A recent study suggests that walking just 30 minutes per day a few days per week is enough to moderately increase overall bone density. Walking is a weight-bearing exercise and it is also the preferred form of exercise for many women at risk of developing osteoporosis. Fitness equipment such as the Best Fitness BFT50 walking treadmill can be a perfect fit for these women.
