DEALER CORNER CELEBRATES 5 YEARS OF PUBLICATION

This month’s issue represents the fifth year of publishing this monthly email we call the Body-Solid Dealer Corner. In July of 2008 our inaugural issue covered Dealer Financing, Functional Training, and Vertical Markets. Since then we have told you a lot about our new equipment introductions but have also tried to sprinkle in some thoughts and comments on issues important to our dealer force. We hope you have enjoyed reading these as much as we have enjoyed writing them for you. Remember also that every one of our previous issues is available on-line in our exclusive Dealer content section under the Training tab. In addition, we are always looking for new ideas to write about so if you have a topic in mind –please let us know and thanks for reading!

BODY-SOLID INTRODUCES LOCKJAW COLLARS

Body Solid is excited to introduce the brand new Body Solid Lock Jaw Olympic Collars (BSTLJOC) and the Body Solid Pro Lock Jaw Olympic collars (BSTLJPC). These collars are the absolute best Olympic collars available anywhere. These hi tech blue collars are in stock now and sold in pairs, each set is 1lb, 2” (50mm) diameter hole.

Olympic collars are a requirement for any exercise using weight plates and bars. Traditionally people have had 2 collar choices, training collars and spring collars. Training collars are very secure but are cumbersome and time consuming to take on and off of a bar. Training collars are also the heaviest of all the collars, which can lead to undesired weight increments during workouts. Conversely, spring collars are very light and very easy to take on and off of a weight bar. However, spring collars do not always hold securely and can slip and slide with heavier loads or aggressive movements. Spring collars can also be bulky and get in the way doing some exercises, especially dumbbell exercises.

The new Body Solid Lock Jaw Olympic and Pro collars solve all of the issues found with other collars. They are easy to slide on a bar and clamp into place. The Pro collars have an additional tab lock for the ultimate in safety and security. Anyone can install these collars securely with one hand. Both the Olympic and the Pro collars are made of sturdy and durable injection molded solid nylon. They are 10 times stronger in grip strength than traditional spring collars. The Olympic collars are perfect for Olympic plates, grip plates and rubber grip plates. The Pro collars are recommended for bumper plates and extreme training.
